Name: Kuckuniwi (koo-koo-neh-weh) Age: 18 Nationality: Sioux Height: 5'11 Weight: Athletic 150lbs Profession: Hunt-Kill Role: Member of a Thieves Club, Member of a Hunting Club
Background: Born to a Sioux Indian family, Kuckuniwi was an outcast due to his violence and resentment of authority. They picked him up and trained him in using a rifle and speaking english. Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5.3
Weight: 95 pounds
Marrital staus: Single
Appearance: Mel is small built and looks to be around 16 or 17 years old, but, is in fact is 28, she doesn't look it, nor act it, she has long curly like blackish brown hair that comes to her shoulders, she wears black pants, black vest, black boots with silver spurs, a black hat, long black coat, and a black and silver double holster gun belt. She sometimes wears skirts or dresses, but, that isn't often.

Personality: She is friendly, lovable, sweet, smart, courageous, loyal, clever, creative, has a short temper, an artist, sometimes clumsy, she is sympathetic, stubborn, gets upset, bored, an' disappointed easily.
she sometimes acts like a big kid, but, don't let that fool you, Mel can be as serious as a heart attack when it comes to some things or some people, she tries not to show fear of anyone or anything, and stands up for herself as well as those in need as well as for those she cares about.
Mel can be annoying, but, doesn't mean to be annoying it just happens.
She's not a great fighter, but, can shoot a gun if she needs to, she loves animals, being around her friends, traveling, riding horses, and meeting new people.
History: Mel's history is somewhat of a mystery, but, all I can say is the she's the guardian of friends'/neighbor's kid Molly a 5 year old.
Molly first came to live with Mel after her parents died in a fire, outlaws had raided their farm and trapped them inside the house to die.
Mel went back to recuse them and could only save Molly.
Molly has lived wit Mel ever since, they first lived in a run down old cabin, that looked like the wind'd blow it over, and Mel came into some money and bought a ranch just outside of the town they were near, Star Dust Ranch.
As for Mel's history before that most of it is a mystery, it is said that her father and mother had been outlaws before Mel was born, but, no one's this to be true or not, Mel's mother got sick and died when Mel was Molly's age (5) and Mel lived with her Dad, her grandparents died shortly after that, of unknown causes, and she and her Dad traveled alot, until he was killed in a shootout. Leaving Mel alone at age 12.
Mel then traveled until she was 26 and met Molly's parents who let her live in one of the extra cabins on their ranch, in return for helping with their horses and other animals and babysitting Molly while they were out. While living there Mel learn more about horses than she thought she knew and she raised her beloved horse Lightening, a paint mare, from birth, Lightening's mother died having her and so she was left alone and helpless. At the age of 27, Mel was again, alone, shorty after they'd settled into their new home, the place was raided by outlaws, and many of the livestock had been pilfered or killed, and Molly had been killed as well. The buildings on the ranch had been left in shambles, and the house burned. Mel then set out, along with her remaining horses, and to find another home, and finally landed in Richard'sville, about a year of living on the run. She now resides in the hotel, until she can save enough money to by a new home, or is fortunate enough to be hired help on a ranch. Horses listed below: Lightening's my main horse the others are the rest of what was left of Molly's parents' herd! I will play them off an' on throughout the RP.
Lightening She has a white lightning blot the left side of her rump an' a white star on her forehead. She is about 14.3 hh. She is a 4 yo Paint mare.
Midnight Dreamer (Dreamer) She is a Freisian an' is about 15 hh. She is a 4 yo mare. She has a white star on her forehead.

Thunder rolled across the sky and the wind picked up, a storm was fast approaching the town, a black and white paint, carrying a rider dressed in all black, came galloping into town. After they'd entered the town the rider slowed the horse to trot, then a walk and finally halted in front of the saloon. The rider dismounted, pulled their hat down tighter on their head, so it covered their eyes. "Hey kid? Come here?" the rider asked a nearby child, the child came running over and halted, "Yeah?" the kid asked "Here's 5 dollars! Take Lightenin' there to the stables before this storm lets loose? Don't want my silver an' black saddle gettin' drenched by rain." the rider said, handing the child 5 dollars and the horse's reins, the child grinned and bounded off with lightening in tow.
The rider sighed heavily and wandered into the saloon, hoping no one'd notice the rider was female. She walked silently, staring at the floor, through the saloon, and never looked at anyone. Finally she halted and flopped down in a chair in a dark corner, and sat watching the people in the saloon. A bar maid strolled up to the table "What'll it be bud?" she asked "Coffee, been a long ride." the rider answered, the bar maid started off to get the order and stared back at the darkened table, wondering why someone'd come into a saloon and order coffee. Mel stared around the saloon, she could feel the people's eyes burning into her, staring coldly through her. She gulped in fear.
She was always scared of being in a new, and strange place, and this one seemed stranger than she thought it would. The people's eyes seems to stare right through you like they were judging you, like you were some outlaw that had been judged and given the death penalty, but, had escaped, fled the town, then returned years later. It wasn't long until the bar maid returned with Mel's coffee, she sat the cup on the table and slid it towards the shadowed figure, and took the money that had been laid out. She then turned and walked off to fill more orders. Mel slipped the coffee hoping she'd see a friendly face, but, the faces she saw seemed scary, unnerving, and hateful. She hoped that the people in the hotel didn't look so cheerful.
MEANWHILE IN THE STABLES:
After bringing Lightening into the stables the young child untacked her, groomed her, and petted her, talking to her calmly, just as had been promised to her rider. Lightening sighed, hoping Mel'd be alright, she whinnied at the child, as if to say Thank You! she turned her gaze up at the roof, as the wind blew sticks and other debris on it, the rain started down in large heavy droplets. Plop plop plop plop, the child stared at the horse in fear "I gotta go girl! Momma'll be lookin' for me soon!" the child said and bounded off out of the stables and disappeared down the street.
BACK INSIDE THE SALOON:
It wasn't long before a fight broke out in the saloon, Mel sat watching the Frey in silence and out of sight, bullets, glasses, bottles, an occasional hat, person, or chair flew through the air, women hurried up the stairs, and men yelled out at eachother. The piano player played on, unaffected by the events, a few poker games had gone the wrong way was what had caused the uproar. Mel ducked as a few bullets came flying her direction, narrowly missing her head. One stray bullet hit the coffee mug she'd just lifted to sip and shattered to pieces, sending broken glass and coffee all over the table and her clothes. With that everything in the saloon seemed to halt, Mel slid the chair out and stood up, trying to wipe as much of the coffee off her shirt as she could. She glared at the man who'd shot the cup. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hit yer cup." the man pleaded, as he thought Mel might be pissed off at what he'd done, but, instead she moved over to another shadowed table and sat down. All the maylay started back up, as if nothing had happened, and again Mel order anothered cup of coffee, and sat watching the Frey.
It wasn't long before a man off the street came in, he fired a gun in the air "Stop this at once!" he shouted, someone answered with a shot, hitting him square in the head. He tumbled backwards out of the double doors and landed with a thud on the boardwalk, another man went sailing across the room and plowed through the picture window. Mel sank deeper into her chair, hoping she wouldn't have to join in on this fight, but, if she had to she would. The bar keep ducked a few flying bottles, and glasses, and hide behind the bar, hoping this'd be over soon. Where's the law in this town? Mel asked in her mind. Someone needs to stop this before anyone else gets hurt or killed she added to that thought. She shoved the chair back hard, making a loud creaking sound, she drew a gun, then walked over to the man that had started the ruckus. "Y'all need to stop this now?!" Mel shouted pointing the gun at him. "You think I'm scared of a scrawny little runt like you boy?" the man asked, as he rose from the chair, and stood at least a foot taller than Mel. Mel stared up and gulped in fear.
She quickly drew the other gun and jabbed both into the man's stomach, "If you don't! I'll report you to the law!...An' I'll shoot you if I have to." she said, shaking in fear. The man grabbed her by the neck with both hands and slammed her against the wall, causing her hat to fall off , and her to loose her grip on her guns, the guns hit the floor with a thud "What're you gonna do now? Yo u don't have any guns...oh no you're in trouble?! the man then said in a sarcastic voice, then laughed. Mel couldn't utter a word for trying to breathe, the whole place froze as they saw the mysterious rider was a girl, they all stared at the two, waiting to see what was going to happen, to this scrawny newcomer. Outside the storm picked up, the wind blew an old shed, on the outskirts of town, down. The rain soaked street, turning them into pure mud, as people darted inside buildings to escape the eliments. Horses whinnied, that were tied to the hitching posts, because they wanted to be in the good warm stables, or back home in their barns. The people inside the saloon weren't worried that one of the worst storms in the century might be going on outside, they were concerned with the one that was about to go on inside.

Coolie, I posted my bio far below, so ya'll can look down there. Here goes sumthin': Salocin rode into town on his faithful mustange Hondo expecting a nice ride, but that was not so on this night. He heard a ruckus going on in the saloon."Oh boy," Salocin muttered. He tied Hondo to a post near the saloon and walked up to the door, brandishing his magnum. He barged through the double doors and glanced at what havok was being wreaked. He didn't see anything life-threatening until he glanced toward the back of the saloon. A large man, not to Salocin but to the woman he was in front of, was choking the life out of her. "How dare he," Salocin growled. He walked up to the man and put the magnum to the back of the man's head and cocked the hammer back, waiting to see the man's reaction. Salocin didn't want to wait, so he pulled the trigger. The man's head exploded, covering Mel's face in blood and other various head organs. The dead man's body crumpled to the floor with a slight squish when what ws left of his head hit also. Salocin looked at Mel, her face in utter shock, covered in peices of skull, blood and brain matter. "Sorry," he muttered, staring at her. (If this is too violent, please tell me so I can modify it.)

(Umm I've read worse.)
Everything in the saloon came to halt, everyone stared at Salocin, then started clapping, happy the man was dead. Mel sank to the floor, and gasped for breath, as soon as she'd gotten her breath back she picked up guns, and hat, then got to her feet. She looked up at Salocin "Thank You, you saved my life!" she said, then glanced around the saloon, a shair came flying past their heads, narrowly missing Salocin. "I think I've stayed here long enough, but, you want to stay for a drink, then here's a dollar, that drink'll be on me." Mel added, and dug out a dollar outta her pocket, and handed it to salocin.
"Now if you'll excuse me I have a few things to take care of." she added then walked towards the double doors, and disappeared through them. She walked down the steps and darted across the muddy street, te rain still pouring down, washing her face and clothes, and darted up the hotel steps. She opened the door and walked inside, and flopped five dollars down on the desk "I need a room please an' a bath?" she asked quickly "That'll be only one dollar per room per night Ma'am!" the man at the desk answered, "I know I want one room for five nights." Mel answered, the man shrugged and handed her a key "Room 10, top of the stairs, take a left, then follow te doors, it should be on the very end of the hallway." he then answered. Mel too the key then walked over to the stairs and up to the next level, turned left and followed the doors to her room, she unlocked the door, walked in, and shut and locked the door behind her.
A fw hours later the storm had passed, and people were out in te street, servaying the damage caused by the storm, and the fight in the saloon. Mel came walking down the stairs inside the hotel, then walked, briskly, across the hotel lobby, out the door, across the boardwalk, and out into the street. She looked over at the saloon, then turned and headed down the street. She wanted to check this town out, more now that the storm had passed. THe roof had beeen taken off a few of the buildings on the east end of town, as well a few had been leveled, but, most of te town had made it through without a scratch. Finally Mel reached the stables, and walked inside, all the horses there turned and stared at her, but, only one greeted her with a friendly whinny, Lightening. "How are you girl?" Mel asked, as she walked up to Lightening's stall, and started petting her. After awhile she left the stables, and headed to the general store, to buy some new clothes.
She walked in and looked around, no one seemed to be there, she thumbed throught the pants, shirts, vests, and dresses, until she found a few she liked. She gathered them up and walked to the counter, an older women walked out from a back room and up to the counter. "This be all Miss?" she asked, "Yes Ma'am!" Mel replied, as she got some money from her pocket, "That'll be five dollars for the pants, an' shirt, an' the dress'll make that fifteen dollars even." the lady then said, after counting the prices, "Fiftenn dollars! I only have ten. Just give me the pants, shirt, an' vest, I'll get the dress later." Mel answered, as the lady gave her her things and change, then took the dress and walked off to return it to where it belonged. Mel walked out of the store, and headed back to te hotel, it wasn't long before she was back out in the dtreet, she'd changed into her new clothes, and was haveing te others cleaned. She looked up and down the street both ways before crossing it, then headed across to the saloon.
After she walked in, she looked around and saw most of the mess had been cleaned up, "You again? Leave!" someone shouted hatefully, and threw a bottle at her, it flew out into the the street and shattered. Mel ignored remark, and walked over to a table next to the door and sat down, that way if she had to, she could slip out the door before anyone noticed she was gone. Again she felt as if she wasn't welcomed here, but, shook the feeling off, and sat watching the everyone in the saloon, hpeing there wouldn't be another fight. She pulled her hat down tighter, shelding her eyes, and leaned the chair back against the wall.
IN THE STABLES:
Lightening worked until she got the door of her stall unlatched, the bolted out of the stables, the tack room door had been left unlocked all night, and someone had stolen most of the saddles and tack inside, includeing Mel's. Lightening turned and bolted down the street, towards the saloon, and halted at the saloon steps. She stood waiting for Mel to walk out the double doors, THe broken glass, and man that had been thrown through the window had already been cleaned up, Lightening stepped carefully, one hoof at time, up the stairs and stuck her head through the double doors, and whinnied loudly for Mel. "Get that horse outta here!" someone shouted. Startled Mel humped, and she and the chair hit the floor with a thud, she got to her feet, and looked up to see LIghtening standing in the saloon. "Lightenin' what're you doin' in here girl?" she asked, with a laugh. She then grabbed the rope and lead her horse out of the saloon.

Salocin was waiting in the shadows, outside of the saloon. He heard the horse whine near the saloon door and a bottle smash shortly after that. He peeked around the corner and watched Melanie and the horse walk away from the saloon. Staying in the shadows, Salocin followed them quietly with his gun in his hand. He had a hard time sneaking past the saloon for fear of casting a shadow because of his height. Mel and the horse seemed to be heading toward the exit of town, so Salocin planned for a long, stealthy walk. What he had to do could not be done in the town. He had to be far away before the sun rose through the wet, dishevelled town. No one would miss a drifter, thats all he was, a drifter with no place to go.

Mel and Lightening halted at the stables, Mel walked in and went straght to the tack room, "Hey the door's not locked?" she said to LIghtening, as she grabbed the handle and opened it. She eased the door open slowly and peered inside. "Oh No! My saddle's gone an' so are most of the others!" she shouted and slammed the door. Startled Lightening backed up, and stood in the street. Mel followed, after slamming the door shut. "Well girl." she said with a sigh "I hadn't planned on goin' after theives today, but, I guess I will. There doesn't seem to be any law here, so I reckon we have to make our own law." she then added, Mel threw the rope over Lightening's neck and tied the end, securly, createing a makeshift bridel, minus the bit, Lightening knelt down, and Mel climbed on her back. THen stood back up, Mel sighed and looked back at the town, then clicked her tounge and LIghtening started walking, out of town. After they were past the town limits, she dug her heals into lIghtening's sides and Lightening exploded into a flat out run. THey halted under a grove of trees about a mile out of town.

Salocin watched the woman,Mel - is that what he heard? - gallop away on her horse. He was well out of town, and they couldn't see him, so he stood up and walked after them. He did not worry how far ahead they got, he could always find what he searched for. He had a knack for it. He could smell the horse, and Mel's scent. He watched them, now a dot in the grey, cloudy moonlight, and chuckled to himself as he held the reigns of Hondo next to him as they walked together.

Mel slid to the ground, and untied the rope, the tied Lightening to a tree. She then leaned against the tree, and sighed, "If tey find those saddles an'other stuff gone, they'll blame it on me. Espeacialy after they find out who I am, or rather who I'm kin to. Lightenin' I'm scared I don't wanna go to jail for something I didn't do, an' by the looks I keep getin' they appear to be the kind of people who shoot first ask questions later." she then said, as Lightening nudged her with her nose, Lightening's ears perked up and she turned and stared back in the direction they had just came, and let a shrill cry. Her eyes widened in dear and her nostrels flared, as the caught the sent of another horse, and a man coming towards them. "What is it girl? Somthing out there?" Lightening turned back to Mel, whinnied, and stamped a hoof, she wanted to get out of there before something else bad happened.
Mel's eyes scaned the horizon, or at least what she could see in the dark, "Lightenin' I don't see anything, but, I know you don't normally act like this unless somethin's up." she drew her guns, checked to see if they were loaded, then untied LIghtening. "We may need to make a hatey exit if whoever's out there's dangerous, girl!" she said, and patted Lightening on the bridge of the nose. she then leaned back against the tree, and stood, guns in hands, waiting for whatever, or whoever was out there, be they friendly or unfriendly, she wasn't about to take another chance on loosein' her life, or her beloved horse either. She yawned, as she watched the horizon, and Lightening "Whoever you are, I hope you don't mean any harm, I have two guns an' I'm not affraid to use 'em if I have to!" she shouted out into the empty, blackness of the night. Lightening turned ad stared at Mel then stood in front of her, blocking her view an' anyone or anything else's. She stood, stiff legged, ears flat on on her head, and teeth bared, her eyes widened in fear and anger, and her head low. She was ready to defend herself an' more importantly Mel. Mel'd been there for here ever since the day she was born, an' was the only family or "Herd" she had at the moment, an' she wasn't about to loose all that she had left.

Hua, my friends. Might be prudent to start a totally new thread just for the RP... Maybe even the thread starter can give it a general Chapter title so others can pick up on the gist of what we're doing? wuh-hah. Hearing the commotion outside his hotel room window, Milo O'Seay quickly slips into his buckskins, straps on the brace of Colts, before padding to the window. A voice calls sleepily from the bed. "What's wrong, sugar?" He glances briefly at the redheaded soiled dove. "Three R's of town night life, ma'am. Rape, Robbery, Revelry" His voice holds a hint of Lakota and Irish accent. "Gw'on t'sleep." He can almost hear her pout, and chooses to ignore her, while surveying the street below. Amidst the shouting voices, gathers enough to know his tracking skills will be needed, to say the least that his coin purse could use some fattening, Milo puts together his trail kit and heads for the door, leaving the dove to sleep off their earlier libations...anyone need some tracking done? Chop goes to the best bidder. wado

Salocin knew she could tell he was out there. He thought he was being ridiculous and started walking at a fast pace toward her. He fished the dollar she gave him out of her pocket and held it in his hand. He saw a glint in the moonlight, and she shouted something. Was it a gun? Sure looked like it in the moonlight. If anyone was going to die, it would be him. She musn't die yet. It isn't her time. He waved and whistled very loudly. That should tell her who it is. "Howdy," he said in that unused voice. "Sorry I followed you, but I have no place to go, and I wanted to give you your dollar back." He held out the dollar, his hand gripping it like he was choking it one-handed. He noticed his hand was trembling slightly.
