thinks Chucksta is trolling in true socialist fashion...
Mel and Kestra offer some good advice to follow in game. Reputation will grow, and those seeking revenge will track him down eventually. Or a lynch mob will get him if he happens to scalp a southerner that has done right by a town in helping it to prosper.
The prospects of Chuck's toon having a long and prosperous game life are dim and dismal... Even if he goes UO on us and gets a gang together, the way the reputation meter works, the Army'll eventually get him if a posse don't. LOL, bring it on (sorry, best reply I can come up with.. just been to a major piss up at a wake) obviously my guy has major issues that will only be solved one way... ________~________ |________~_______| ~ \\ || ~ \\ || ~ \\ || ~ \\ || ~ \\ || _~ \\|| /. .\ \|| \^ / || ~~ || /||\ || / || \ || /\ || / \ || / \ || || || || || ==================================================== So come on one and all, there'll be a nice bounty no doubt, but be prepared to lose your hair (if you are bald then I'll have to scalp another area ;) )

There is no need for an argument here. I have played the game many a time and have a first hand view of what is portrayed in it, at no point does it encourage the player to scalp a specific group, scalping, like shooting or archery, is just another form of weaponry in the game. The article does not mention that the protagonist initially starts the game fighting for the American 'white men'. However, he soon learns the corruption about them and wakes up from his naive followings to find forgiveness in the Indian tribes and collectively they overthrow the 'white man' corruption together. There is more praising of the Indians rather than violence, and Americans are also portrayed to be money hungry, cold blooded killers looking out for number one, but I see that this article takes a subjective view on the matter, which is why there is so much confusion about the games intent.
